Job summary

SiMa.ai, Inc. in San Jose, CA is seeking a Principal Software Engineer, Embedded Linux to lead OS software development for the MLSoC platform.

You will design and port embedded Linux components, write device drivers for peripherals, and collaborate with silicon teams across geographies. The role requires deep experience with ARM 64-bit, Yocto, Docker, and virtualization tooling, plus strong C/C++ skills and a track record delivering complex software.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science with minimum 10 years of experience.
• Hands-on experience developing firmware, boot code and software for high-performance 64-bit ARM processors.
• Experience with Linux embedded environments and embedded RTOS is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop OS device drivers and boot software for MLSoC in Linux.
• Integrate IP software from Synopsys and ARM into MLSoC software environment.
• Develop drivers for interfaces (SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI, Ethernet, eMMC) and support Docker/Hypervisor environments.
