Job summary

EverPeak Recruitment is seeking a Principal FPGA/Embedded Systems Engineer to lead architecture, design, and optimization of FPGA-based image acquisition and processing systems. Remote or Hybrid work is available for qualified candidates in the United States.

The role focuses on high-performance FPGA solutions, embedded Linux integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver advanced hardware and software solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years FPGA development experience with Verilog, VHDL, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience with Xilinx FPGA development tools.
• Embedded Linux and kernel driver development experience.
• Strong timing closure and resource optimization skills.
• Experience with image sensors or high-bandwidth data systems.
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop FPGA logic for image acquisition, processing, and high-speed data movement.
• Optimize FPGA performance, timing closure, and resource utilization.
• Develop and support embedded Linux systems, including kernel drivers and hardware bring-up.
• Perform system integration, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Document architecture, design, testing, and deployment activities.
• Partner with software and hardware engineering teams throughout development.
