Job summary

Medallion Instrumentation Systems, a division of Patrick Industries, seeks an Embedded Platform Engineer to lead embedded platform development from initial hardware bring-up through production launch.

You will own low-level platform software, Linux and Android platform integration, kernel and driver development, embedded firmware, and system reliability while partnering with hardware, systems, manufacturing, and product teams to deliver high-quality embedded products.

Qualifications

Experience with embedded Linux, kernel drivers, and bootloaders.
Hands-on hardware bring-up and cross-functional collaboration.
Proficiency in real-time OS concepts and embedded MTBF practices.

Responsibilities

Lead embedded platform bring-up from initial power-on through production release.
Develop and maintain boot software including U-Boot and ARM Trusted Firmware.
Configure hardware initialization, memory, clocks, power management, and peripherals.
Lead DDR/DRAM bring-up and stability validation across conditions.
Debug complex hardware-software integration issues across the boot chain.
Collaborate with hardware, systems, manufacturing, and product teams.
Utilize JTAG and analyzers to diagnose issues; port Linux to ARM/ARM64.
Maintain BSPs and Linux distributions; develop userspace with Yocto/Buildroot.
Improve boot time, performance, and platform reliability.
Support long-term lifecycle management and software quality initiatives.
