Position Purpose

Under the supervision of the Assistant Superintendent, provide leadership and supervision in administering the educational program of an Elementary School to promote student achievement in accordance with policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and law. Lead program development, improvement, and staff development.

Essential Functions
  • Support growth of teachers and students.
  • Demonstrate support of TAP/NIET Evaluation with certification or willingness to obtain it.
  • Serve as instructional leader, participate in meetings, and set high expectations.
  • Model professional, ethical, respectful behavior.
  • Utilize data to increase achievement and effectiveness.
  • Create high academic and behavioral expectations.
  • Communicate proactively with stakeholders.
  • Support school plans aligned with district goals.
  • Analyze achievement data and plan interventions.
  • Build a culture of excellence.
  • Develop instructional and improvement plans.
  • Exhibit knowledge of instructional practices and curriculum.
  • Promote a positive attitude among staff.
  • Participate in meetings, observe, and coach staff.
  • Monitor teacher progress and student gains.
  • Evaluate teachers and conduct evaluations.
  • Lead instructional leadership team meetings.
  • Support school management and collaborate with district administrators.
  • Build community partnerships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Equipment

Travel Requirements

Travel to district buildings and meetings as needed.

Pay Rate

Administrative Pay Schedule.

Work Schedule

260 days per year.

Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards

Education
  • Masters Degree in School Administration from an accredited institution.
Experience
  • School, district, state, or national administrative experience.
  • Positive references from current supervisor.
