Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Systems Engineer at Principal or Senior Principal level. You will perform system planning, integration, verification, and trade studies to translate requirements into hardware and software solutions.

The role requires either a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD with relevant experience and the ability to obtain a U.S. government Secret clearance. The position offers potential bonuses, overtime, and a range of benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant military/professional experience, OR a Master's Degree with 3+ years, OR a PhD with 1+ year.
• For Level 4, 8 years with Bachelor's or 6 years with Master's or 4 years with PhD.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance (with background check).
• Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance within a reasonable time.

Responsibilities

• Perform system planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability analyses for total systems.
• Analyze at all levels of total system product from concept to disposal.
• Convert customer or product requirements into hardware/software specifications within schedule and cost constraints.
• Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies.
