Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Oklahoma City, OK, seeks Principal or Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer - Hardware. The role is on-site with no remote option, with up to 25% travel.

Clearances required will be pursued after hire. Rigorous design, analysis and testing across electro-mechanical systems are core expectations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related engineering experience; Master’s with 3 years; PhD with 1 year.
• Sr. Principal: Bachelor’s in STEM with 8 years; Master’s with 6; PhD with 4.
• Ability to obtain/maintain US Government Secret clearance and SAP clearances.
• On-site work in Oklahoma City, OK.
• Experience with CAD modeling (NX, CATIA) and best-fit analysis of aircraft structures.
• Systems engineering across lifecycle and requirements management tools (DOORS, JIRA).
• Familiarity with composites and tooling/design/manufacturing for aerospace programs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze tooling and recommended solutions for re-work or new manufacturing methods.
• Interpret and update engineering drawings; generate complex models and drawings.
• Establish design concepts and engineering efforts for research, development, integration and test.
• Develop mechanical/electromechanical systems for production, transmission and energy use.
• Lead technical efforts and mentor junior engineers in cross-functional teams.
• Prepare reports and present findings to Government counterparts and contractors.
