Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer or Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer to support the Common Products Test Engineering organization in Rancho Bernardo, CA.

You will lead test engineering activities for LRUs/WRAs and PCBAs, collaborating across design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure reliability and on-time delivery. The role requires hands-on testing, circuit analysis, and documentation, with opportunities to impact production from development

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5 years of related engineering experience; OR Master's with 3 years; OR PhD with 1 year.
Experience with LabVIEW and TestStand software applications.
Experience with automated testing of CCA, LRU, and WRA.
Experience with electronic test equipment (DMMs, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power supplies, network analyzers).
Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret clearance in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership across the full lifecycle of LRUs and WRAs and PCBAs.
Analyze circuits, interpret schematics, and perform root cause investigations.
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to improve production processes and test methods.
Document findings and implement solutions; support qualification activities and long-term product support.
