Job summary

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a Project Estimator/Manager to lead electrical construction budgeting, cost coding, and bid/proposal activities from pre-bid through project completion.

You will prepare scopes, support design/build proposals, and run day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, cost control, and change-order management, leveraging MS Office and advanced estimation tools.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with a Master's degree.
• 7+ years of experience with a B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Architectural Engineering, Construction Management.
• 10+ years of experience with a related associates degree.
• 12+ years of experience with a High School diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Develop budgets and cost codes for projects, assist in proposals and write scopes of work.
• Gather data and assist in preparing bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
• Develop and present project scopes to customers and meet with potential clients.
• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Develop project schedules using Critical Path Method; assign cost and manpower.
• Understand plans to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Price change orders and maintain cost data from suppliers.
• Identify value-added cost-saving methods and manage change orders.
