M.C. Dean, Inc. is looking for a Senior Cost Engineer to lead budgeting, cost codes, and bid/proposal efforts across electrical construction projects. You will help develop scopes, manage schedules, and price change orders, ensuring cost control and compliance with project requirements.

Ideal candidates have extensive experience with estimating, scheduling, blueprints interpretation, and contract documents, and demonstrate strong technical writing and team coordination abilities.

Formación

• Proficient with MS Office Suite and Autocad; experience with estimating, project management and scheduling software.
• Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Knowledge of design principles, relevant codes, and safety standards.
• Familiarity with electrical equipment, materials and specifications.
• Experience with contract documents such as drawings, subcontracts and change orders.
• Exposure to technical writing and formal documentation.
• Ability to plan and organize own activities or team work.
• 2+ years in the communications field with electrical exposure preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Develop budgets and cost codes for projects and assist in proposals.
• Gather data and assist in bid proposal estimates and design/build proposals.
• Develop and present project scopes to customers and meet potential clients.
• Run day-to-day operations of a project or sub-section.
• Create project schedules using Critical Path Method; assign costs and manpower.
• Identify change orders and ensure effective resolution.
• Price, track and manage change orders; maintain price data from suppliers.
• Coordinate with teams for logs, schedules, and criteria compliance.
• Assist in field inspections and productivity tracking.
