Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Co. in New Stanton, PA is seeking a Principal Electrical Product Engineer.

The hybrid role supports design, manufacturing, testing and delivery of high-quality electrical products with SMEs and cross-functional teams. Requirements include a bachelor's in electrical/mechanical engineering, 10+ years of experience, CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, Inventor) and knowledge of electrical distribution systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Electro-Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
10+ years of engineering experience.
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems incl. low/medium voltage switchgear.
Ability to mentor lower-level engineers and lead teams.
Experience designing components/assemblies with CAD tools.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review drawings, specs, and purchase requisitions for Electrical Products.
Maintain Material Master Data and Parts Baselines in SAP.
Determine critical equipment characteristics for qualification and GDE.
Assist in equipment qualification tests and review test reports.
Prepare Commercial Dedication Instructions.
Develop engineered solutions to address obsolescence in electrical products.
Provide engineering support to customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and shop operations.
Become SME for assigned electrical products and components.
Engage with customers and vendors on key product issues.
Resolve issues related to non-conforming material.
