Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead electrical power system design for municipal water/wastewater projects in Phoenix, Arizona. You will guide the team on medium/low-voltage distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding, while managing budgets and schedules.

You will collaborate with Control Systems and Process Mechanical groups, perform design calculations, and oversee construction activities including submittals and RFIs. A PE in AZ or reciprocity is required.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, preferably with an emphasis on power.
• Professional Engineering License in Arizona or ability to obtain reciprocity in 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Electrical design and coordination of projects with emphasis on medium and low-voltage power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding for water/wastewater projects.
• Project/task management and budgeting for assignments.
• Developing design criteria, performing calculations, creating one-line diagrams and control schematics.
• Reviewing equipment submittals and RFIs during construction.
• Conducting field inspections and QA/QC of work; monitor safety compliance.
• Publish power systems studies with arc flash analysis using ETAP/SKM or similar tools.
