Job summary

MissionHires is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to own complex electronic systems across the full product lifecycle. You will lead architecture, design, qualification, and sustainment for advanced analog and digital circuits, power electronics, high-voltage hardware, and harsh-environment applications.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with A/D conversion, processors, and robust I/O interfaces, plus strong EMI/thermal analyses and MTBF thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's preferred.
• 15+ years hands-on experience in complex electronic products.
• Deep analog and digital circuit design expertise.
• Experience with high-power, high-voltage, EMI-conscious hardware.
• Experience with aerospace/defense or harsh-environment applications preferred.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide principal-level technical leadership from requirements to sustainment.
• Design, analyze, simulate, and verify complex boards for harsh environments.
• Develop analog/digital architectures with A/D, processors, and I/O.
• Design power-electronics solutions using MOSFET/IGBT/SiC/GaN tech.
• Develop DC/DC converter architectures and conduct analyses (thermal, EMI, etc.).
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Support prototype, qualification, manufacturing, and suppliers.
• Guide engineers on standards, practices, and design methodologies.
