Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions has an immediate opening for a Principal Electrical Engineer to support the NSWC Port Hueneme Division, ATE Engineering Branch, focusing on MK41/MK57 VLS programs. You will design, program, build, test, deliver, and maintain test equipment and simulators for VLS systems.

The role requires ability to obtain a Secret clearance and travel up to 25%. You will mentor junior engineers and coordinate with hardware/software teams to ensure robust, low-noise, and reliable test

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM.
• 10+ years of electronics hardware and software design experience.
• Strong background in digital and analog system-level design.
• Expertise with DC/AC measurement techniques in bench/ATE.
• Deep understanding of ATE architecture.
• Excellent electronics debugging skills.
• PCB design with signal integrity and low-noise power distribution.
• Experience with NI PXI/PXIe and LabVIEW.
• Fluency in system programming languages: C++, C#, VB.
• FPGA programming in Verilog/VHDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach junior engineers and technicians.
• Design new ATE systems and VLS test equipment.
• Oversee software used in designs, coordinating with software engineers.
• Provide engineering support for acceptance, installation, checkout, troubleshooting and repair.
• Contribute to indoctrination, maintenance and operator training.
• Produce schematics, diagrams and specifications for prototype/electronic units.
• Supervise fabrication and assembly of prototype and production systems.
• Redline technical data packages reflecting design changes.
• Support All-Up Round BIT systems and launcher/test equipment configuration.
