Job summary

Paragon Cyber Solutions is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to support NSWC Port Hueneme Division’s VLS ATE programs. You will design, develop, and test advanced ATE equipment for MK41 and MK57 VLS programs, mentor junior staff, and ensure robust hardware and software integration.

Requires ability to obtain/maintain Secret clearance and up to 25% travel. The role emphasizes system-level hardware/software design, PCB integrity, and hands-on leadership across engineering teams in a defense

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM required.
• 10+ years of electronics hardware and software design experience.
• Strong PCB design for signal integrity and low-noise power distribution.
• Experience with DC/AC measurement techniques in bench/ATE environments.
• Knowledge of ATE architecture.
• Experience with NI PXI/PXIe and LabVIEW is a plus.
• Fluent in system programming languages such as C++, C#, Visual Basic.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach government and contractor junior engineers and technicians.
• Design new ATE systems and VLS test equipment.
• Oversee software for new system designs or collaborate with software engineers.
• Support acceptance, installation, checkout, troubleshooting, and repair of test systems.
• Provide indoctrination, maintenance, and operator training for test systems.
• Create schematics, diagrams, and specifications to clarify design details.
• Oversee fabrication and assembly of prototype and production electrical systems.
• Redline technical data to reflect design or implementation changes.
• Support All-Up Round Built-In-Test systems and other launcher test equipment.
