Job summary

Echodyne is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer for the Accessories group in Kirkland, WA to lead the electrical architecture, development, and lifecycle support of our accessory portfolio that integrates with radar products.

You will drive concepts through detailed design, evaluate COTS and vendor solutions, ensure EMI/EMC and safety compliance, support NPI and production releases, and mentor team members across functions.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering or related field with 15+ years of hardware development experience.
• Eligibility to handle ITAR/EAR controlled information.
• Experience defining electrical architecture and leading trade studies.
• Ability to balance SWaP, performance, reliability and cost.
• Experience leading COTS evaluation, build-to-print, and design-to-spec.
• Experience leading electrical integration, verification, and qualification.
• Ability to drive NPI and production release with DFM/DFA/DFT focus.
• Ability to influence cross-functional teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical architecture, interfaces, and compatibility across products and accessories.
• Define and drive electrical solutions from concept through detailed design.
• Lead COTS, build-to-print, vendor co-development, and design-to-spec solutions.
• Lead electrical integration, verification, and release readiness (EMI/EMC, safety, reliability).
• Support NPI, production, and sustaining changes with cross-functional teams.
• Provide Principal-level technical leadership and mentoring.
