Our Partner is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for an experienced professional with a strong background in aerospace or defense electronics design.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing complex electrical hardware, with expertise in taking products from concept through production. This person will lead the design of ruggedized computing systems and power electronics built to perform in harsh aerospace environments while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership across major programs.

Responsibilities
- Design complex electrical schematics for high-speed digital, analog, and power circuits.
- Lead prototype board bring-up, testing, debugging, and validation using laboratory equipment.
- Develop ruggedized electronic hardware for extreme thermal, vibration, shock, and EMI environments.
- Perform component selection, worst-case analysis, and signal integrity evaluations.
- Oversee PCB layout, routing, stack-up, grounding, and manufacturing support.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues to the component level and implement design improvements.
- Create engineering documentation, test plans, and design specifications.
- Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
- 15+ years of hands-on electrical hardware design experience.
- Experience within the aerospace or defense industry is required.
- Strong background in PCB design, schematic capture, board bring-up, and laboratory testing.
- Proven ability to lead technical projects while remaining hands-on in hardware development.
