Job description

Our Partner is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on engineering leadership role for an experienced professional with a strong background in aerospace or defense electronics design.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience designing, developing, and testing complex electrical hardware, with expertise in taking products from concept through production. This person will lead the design of ruggedized computing systems and power electronics built to perform in harsh aerospace environments while mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership across major programs.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out:
  • Opportunity to lead impactful engineering initiatives within a highly technical environment
  • Strong visibility across engineering and operations leadership
  • Blend of hands-on technical leadership and team development
  • Ability to influence product reliability, quality, and long-term engineering strategy
  • Collaborative culture that values innovation, ownership, and technical expertise
  • This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering leader looking to make a meaningful impact within a growing and highly specialized organization.
Compensation, Benefits & Time Off
  • Competitive salary plus a performance bonus program
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, with multiple medical tiers to fit your needs
  • Basic Life and AD&D insurance provided at no cost, with the option to purchase additional coverage
  • 11 paid company holidays, plus a flexible, generous PTO policy
  • Company-wide shutdown between Christmas and New Year's, so the whole team gets that week off together
  • Leadership development and individual growth planning, with annual recognition for top performers
  • A flat, fast-moving, hands-on culture — your work is visible across engineering and operations leadership, not siloed
  • Access to cutting-edge technology, working alongside industry partners like Intel and NVIDIA on hardware headed straight into mission-critical defense and aerospace platforms
Responsibilities

  • Perform component selection, worst-case analysis, and signal integrity evaluations.
  • Oversee PCB layout, routing, stack-up, grounding, and manufacturing support.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues to the component level and implement design improvements.
  • Create engineering documentation, test plans, and design specifications.
  • Lead technical design reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
