RTX is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer – Test Equipment Engineering in McKinney, TX. You will design, develop, and integrate test equipment for Raytheon products within multidisciplinary engineering teams, and manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of projects. This onsite role requires a U.S.

Secret security clearance (interim clearance required prior to start). The ideal candidate has a STEM degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor

Qualifications

• B.S./B.E. in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.
• Experience in electrical design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency with Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic.
• Ability to read and create schematic drawings.

Senior Electrical Engineer – Test Equipment Engineering

Location: McKinney, Texas (Onsite)
Security Clearance: U.S. Secret (interim clearance required prior to start)

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and integrate test equipment for Raytheon products within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Develop both engineering and production test systems, including interface adapters, cabling, technical drawings, schematics, circuit design, and analysis.
• Manage technical, cost, and schedule aspects of assigned projects.
• Identify and resolve issues related to the development and implementation of test products, independently or as part of a team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with three (3) years of relevant experience.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
• Experience in electrical engineering design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing.
• Proficiency with design and analysis tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, and Creo Schematic.
• Experience using test equipment including oscilloscopes, DMMs, network analyzers, and power meters.
• Ability to read and create schematic drawings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in STEM fields (ABET accreditation preferred).
• Technical leadership experience in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Experience with analog, digital, RF, and mixed‑signal design.
• Experience integrating digital, mixed‑signal, and electrical system interconnects.
• Familiarity with integrated development environments and debugging tools.
• Self‑starter who manages workload to meet deadlines.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
• Project management experience, including bid and proposal work.
• Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques.
• Programming language proficiency for developing and implementing solutions.
• Root‑cause analysis skills and troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of RTX projects, programs, or systems for enhancement and leverage.
