Job summary

Gulf Interstate Engineering seeks a Principal Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to lead complex electrical and instrumentation CAD workflows in Houston, TX. You will develop one-line diagrams, E/I plans, wiring schematics, and 3D CAD layouts while guiding CAD operators and reviewing vendor drawings.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years of drafting design, strong AutoCAD expertise, and familiarity with industry codes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design experience in drafting environment.
• Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, including 3D Design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• Latest versions of AutoCAD.
