Job summary

Gulf Interstate in Houston, TX seeks a Principal Electrical/Instrumentation Designer to lead complex electrical and instrument system designs, create One-Line Diagrams, E/I plans, wiring diagrams, and CAD layouts while guiding CAD operators.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years' drafting experience, strong AutoCAD (including 3D), knowledge of codes, and a proven ability to review vendor drawings and coordinate with project teams.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of design experience in a drafting environment (One-Line Diagrams, Electrical/Instrument plans, sections & details, schematics & wiring diagrams).
• Minimum of 5 years of CAD experience, including 3D design.
• Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standards.
• Latest versions of AutoCAD.
