Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional seeks a Principal to own the Document Quality System, defining standards for typography, hierarchy, whitespace, tables, and more across legal documents. You will translate expert judgment into clear, testable rules and reference documents for AI and engineering teams.

You will audit hundreds of generated documents, build a failure taxonomy, and produce gold-standard samples to guide product decisions and model evaluation.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in professional document production and setting standards.
• Ability to define styling, numbering, headers/footers, tables, and exhibits.
• Experience with document automation and template systems.

Responsibilities

• Define canonical typography and formatting standards for document families.
• Build a document taxonomy with base and divergent conventions.
• Audit AI-generated output and classify formatting defects.
• Create gold-standard reference documents for testing.
