Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience developing and designing electronic circuits and multi-assembly electronic systems.
• Ability to take a digital hardware design from requirements through production.
• Experience with PCB design processes including schematic capture and design verification.
• Experience designing multilayer circuit card assemblies with processors, FPGAs, memory, and interfaces.
• Familiarity with FPGA or embedded software development and supporting hardware programs through development to production.
• Hands-on with laboratory test equipment, hardware checkout, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex digital electronic circuits, modules, and multi-assembly hardware systems.
• Translate requirements into architectural concepts and drive designs through verification and production.
• Develop digital hardware architectures, block diagrams, circuits, and detailed schematics.
• Design multilayer PCBs/CCAs with processors, FPGAs, memory and high-speed interfaces.
• Perform circuit analysis, simulation, and design verification to meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Collaborate with layout engineers to enforce critical design constraints.
• Select components and conduct trade studies; support hardware with FPGA firmware and embedded software.
• Develop hardware test plans and conduct laboratory checkout and troubleshooting.
• Partner with systems, software, manufacturing, and test teams to transition to production.
• Provide technical guidance and participate in design reviews for process improvements.
