Legion Technical Solutions LLC in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Digital Design Engineer II to design, analyze, simulate, and test advanced digital electronic modules and CCAs for aerospace and defense applications. You will work on high-speed digital systems, processors, and multiprocessor architectures.

The role emphasizes hands-on hardware development, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and on-site work to support life‑cycle engineering from design through production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience designing, analyzing, or testing digital circuits and hardware.
• Familiarity with circuit card assembly design and development.
• Knowledge of digital hardware architectures with processors, FPGAs, memory devices.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, or UART interfaces.
• Experience with electronic design, simulation, or lab testing tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and test digital circuits, modules, and CCAs.
• Support digital hardware designs with processors, FPGAs, memory, and high-speed interfaces.
• Participate in schematic development, circuit analysis, and hardware verification.
• Assist integration of digital interfaces (PCIe, Ethernet, I2C, SPI, UART).
• Conduct laboratory testing, troubleshooting, and validation of hardware.
• Collaborate with engineering teams across disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support hardware development from design through production lifecycle.
• Contribute to design reviews, documentation, and problem-solving activities.
• Promote continuous improvement in digital electronics design processes.
