Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - DevSecOps to join on-site teams in San Diego, CA or El Segundo, CA. The role focuses on modernizing software production across programs and requires adherence to security clearances.

The position is full-time with travel up to 25%. On-site work, with no remote option, and a comprehensive benefits package including a salary range, bonuses, and incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in STEM and 3 years; OR a PhD in STEM and 1 year.
• Experience with microservices including scalability best practices, containers, and container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Experience with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Ant, Bamboo, Chef, GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
• Experience using Agile methodologies in programs with multiple teams.
• Experience with software development (Java/Javascript, C++, C#) and its life cycle.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance and SAP access.

• Integrate and automate systems to facilitate CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication with Software IPT, chief engineers, and development team.
