MiniMed is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer in Los Angeles to oversee code releases, build scalable CI/CD pipelines, and manage infrastructure as code. You will lead incident response, mentor engineers, and ensure system uptime and reliability. A strong background in AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting is preferred.

The role emphasizes collaboration with developers and IT staff across the SDLC to drive automation, observability, and performance improvements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Seven or more years of experience in DevOps, systems administration, or software support is preferred.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms and container orchestration tools is desired.

Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code to provision and scale cloud servers automatically.
• Ensure observability through logging and monitoring tools for early issue detection.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis for major production outages.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
• Ensure uptime of 99.9% and maintain high service quality.
