Job summary

MiniMed is seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer in Northridge, CA to lead CI/CD, IaC, and observability across applications and infrastructure. You will collaborate with developers and IT to accelerate releases and improve reliability.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in DevOps or related fields; AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes experience, plus Python or Bash scripting. Strong mentoring and cross‑functional leadership are important.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Seven or more years in DevOps, systems administration, or software support.
• Experience with AWS, Docker and Kubernetes for running apps.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with NewRelic and OpenSearch; maintain/integrate infrastructure tools like JIRA and Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Build CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code to provision and scale cloud servers.
• Ensure observability with logging and monitoring tools.
• Lead incident response and root-cause analysis of production issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and review technical work.
• Aim for 99.9% uptime and high QoS.
