Vantor in Herndon, VA is seeking a Principal Developer to design, develop, and maintain enterprise software for Object-Based Intelligence, knowledge graphs, and semantic data integration. The Senior level emphasis is on secure, scalable systems and API-driven services across cloud-native stacks.

You will operate in an Agile DevSecOps environment, mentor junior developers, deliver APIs and backend services, and support AI/ML initiatives by enabling semantic data access and enterprise analytics

Qualifications

• Must have extensive experience building enterprise software using Java, Python, or C#.
• Strong background in RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with containerization, Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Git version control.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software supporting OBI mission requirements.
• Build scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and user interfaces integrated with ontologies and knowledge graphs.
• Apply Semantic Web technologies (RDF/OWL/SPARQL) for data integration and discovery.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and government stakeholders to translate requirements into software.
• Develop secure, containerized apps using cloud-native approaches and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to design and technical leadership.
