Job summary

Platinum Technologies is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to design, develop, implement, and maintain database infrastructure supporting Object‑Based Intelligence and knowledge graph platforms. You will collaborate with ontology engineers, data scientists, and Government stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure data solutions.

The role emphasizes enterprise data architectures, RDF graph stores, and semantic web technologies, with a focus on availability, performance, and secure data management

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and administering enterprise database solutions for mission-critical apps.
• Strong knowledge of relational, graph, and semantic DB technologies and data integration.
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, administer, and optimize relational, graph, and semantic database environments supporting Object‑Based Intelligence mission requirements.
• Develop logical and physical data models that support ontologies, taxonomies, knowledge graphs, and enterprise metadata management.
• Design and implement scalable database architectures that support Semantic Web technologies, including RDF triple stores, graph databases, and SPARQL endpoints.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes that integrate heterogeneous data sources into enterprise knowledge platforms.
• Collaborate with ontology engineers, software developers, data scientists, analysts, and Government stakeholders to translate mission requirements into efficient designs.
• Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, partitioning, replication, and capacity planning for large analytics workloads.
• Implement database security controls, encryption, access management, backup and recovery, and auditing per Government cybersecurity requirements.
• Develop automation, monitoring, and maintenance processes to ensure high availability and operational efficiency.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by providing scalable data infrastructure and optimized access to diverse data repositories.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, data dictionaries, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to Government personnel and project teams.
