Vantor Inc. is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of complex software-intensive systems spanning cloud platforms and AI-enabled products.

You will partner with engineering, product, and architecture leaders to define system behavior, ensure scalability, resilience, and alignment with mission outcomes. This role requires balancing engineering rigor with product velocity, reducing complexity, and driving early risk mitigation to enable independent teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Systems thinking across software, data, and ops boundaries.
• Experience architecting large-scale software systems.
• Ability to lead multi-team technical initiatives and trade studies.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns and distributed architectures.
• Experience integrating AI-enabled software development practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and delivery of complex, cross-domain software systems.
• Define system architecture, integration strategy, and technical direction across multiple engineering teams.
• Translate ambiguous customer, mission, and business problems into scalable technical solutions.
• Lead architecture trade studies and make consequential design decisions across priorities.
• Drive system decomposition, interfaces, dependencies, and integration planning for large distributed systems.
• Partner with Product to validate customer needs and ensure delivered capabilities solve the right problems.
