Job summary

Platinum Technologies in Northern Virginia is seeking a Senior Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting Object-Based Intelligence, ontologies, knowledge graphs, and semantic data integration.

Working in an Agile DevSecOps environment, you will build secure, scalable software, implement RESTful APIs, integrate databases and enterprise data platforms, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with Government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• Minimum ten (10) years of experience and an advanced degree or 15 years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise software using Java, Python, C# or comparable languages.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed applications.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiarity with Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise software applications supporting OBI mission requirements.
• Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and user-facing apps integrating ontology services and knowledge graphs.
• Implement software using Semantic Web technologies to support data integration and knowledge discovery.
• Collaborate with engineers and Government stakeholders to translate mission requirements into software solutions.
• Develop secure, containerized applications using cloud-native technologies.
• Integrate applications with relational and graph databases and enterprise APIs.
• Participate in Agile development activities, sprint planning, and code reviews.
• Develop automated tests and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot defects, optimize performance, and ensure security and reliability.
• Produce design docs, API specs, and implementation guides.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by providing semantic data access and analytics capabilities.
• Mentor junior developers and support knowledge transfer with Government personnel.
