Vantor seeks a Principal Developer to design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications supporting Object-Based Intelligence, ontologies, and knowledge graphs. You will build secure, scalable software in an Agile DevSecOps environment with collaboration across ontology engineers, software and data engineers, and government stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen with active TS/SCI with CI polygraph.
• 10 years of experience and an advanced degree or 15 years with a bachelor’s degree.
• Experience developing enterprise software using Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed apps.
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift).
• Familiar with Agile software development, DevSecOps, CI/CD, and Git-based version control.
• Strong communication of complex technical concepts to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications supporting OBI mission requirements.
• Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and user interfaces integrating ontology services and knowledge graphs.
• Implement software using Semantic Web tech (RDF, OWL, SPARQL) for search and data integration.
• Collaborate with engineers and Government stakeholders to translate mission needs into software.
• Develop secure, containerized apps using modern software engineering practices and cloud-native tech.
• Integrate apps with relational/graph databases, messaging, and enterprise APIs for access to mission data.
• Participate in Agile processes: sprint planning, design reviews, code reviews, backlog refinement.
• Develop automated tests (unit, integration, regression) and support CI/CD pipelines.
• Troubleshoot, optimize performance, ensure scalability, reliability, and security.
• Produce design docs, API specs, implementation guides, and operation docs.
• Support AI/ML initiatives by providing semantic data access and analytics capabilities.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership within Agile teams.
