Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a Principal Engineer - Design Quality Assurance to ensure quality across design and manufacturing. You will collaborate with stakeholders to drive quality improvements and prevent defects throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires a SECRET clearance and onsite work in Cedar Rapids, IA, with relocation not offered. You will lead cross-functional teams and deliver robust quality solutions within time and budget.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and/or AS9102 quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Interface with program quality teams, programs, customers and IPTs to ensure quality and compliance.
• Interface with customers and partners to establish relationships.
• Manage quality across multiple stakeholder levels for program success.
• Deliver products and services while addressing quality risks and customer expectations.
• Improve processes and systems through analysis and problem solving.
• Ensure inclusion of quality requirements in program proposals and budgets.
• Monitor RCCA and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and extensive RCCA.
• Generate CoQ projects to reduce costs on the program.
• Implement Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) as applicable.
