Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support manufacture and delivery of advanced aircraft technology. This onsite role in Foley, AL offers relocation assistance and a path to lead quality initiatives across internal and supplier issues.

You will manage quality issues, drive 8D/PPAP activities, and lead process improvements, risk analysis and audits, with travel up to 25% as needed. A university degree and 5+ years of experience are typical requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Experience using AS9145 APQP / PPAP core elements (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow Diagrams and Control Plans, etc.).
• Experience supporting Quality Management System requirements (e.g. Non-Conformity Metrics Management, Risk Analysis, Audit support, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Manage external and internal quality issues in a timely professional manner.
• Resolve critical issues within current policy/procedure guidelines.
• Lead or participate in 8D, DIVE, preventative and corrective actions for quality issues.
• Provide expertise and lead in process improvement tools and continuous improvement methods.
• Support data collection and analysis of program quality data on top issues including SSR (scrap, rework, repair).
• Support/participate in program reviews of key metrics and initiatives.
• Develop/implement and audit inspection/test plans, standards, acceptance criteria and work instructions.
• Identify and manage risk in product development and engineering changes using PFMEA and related tools.
• Support completion of First Article Reviews and audits with customers/ regulators.
