Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT is seeking an experienced Design Engineer for the F135 Fan design team. This onsite role offers a competitive salary range from 107,500 to 204,500 USD per year, with full benefits and opportunities to influence both military and commercial engine programs.

You will design across all phases, support the installed F135 fleet, and drive improvements in repairability, maintainability, and component layouts, while collaborating with IPTs and training junior engineers.

Formación

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or higher degree with related experience.
• 8+ years of Mechanical Design engineering experience or 5+ years with advanced degree.
• Experience with hardware, reading blueprints and manufacturing methods.
• Experience with EC process I & II and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsabilidades

• Design support across all design phases from concept to manufacturing and service for fan module components.
• Support the existing F135 fleet through component commonality and optimization.
• Improve repairability/maintainability for military customers and MRO facilities, collaborate with quality teams.
• Develop standard work and layouts, and present design proposals with calculations and drawings.
