Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. seeks a Principal Design AI Engineer in its NVE Design Engineering group in San Jose, CA. You will drive NAND circuit development with design automation and AI-enabled flows, mentoring engineers and integrating schematics into full-chip designs.

You will lead analog/mixed-signal circuits, verify through simulations, and partner with firmware, validation, and architecture teams to reduce cycle time while ensuring reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• MS (PhD preferred) in electrical engineering required.
• 8+ years of NAND design relevant proven experience required with proficient knowledge of NAND flash memory read, program and erase algorithms.
• Proficiency in analog/mixed signal circuit design and layout.
• Familiarity with SPICE simulators and Verilog.
• Experience with EDA tools and automation for design verification.

Responsibilities

• Implement core Xpath, Ypath and Array design and integrate core schematics into full-chip schematics.
• Perform analog/mixed-signal circuit design and verify with block and chip-level simulations.
• Act as technical authority across analog/core teams and drive automation enablement for circuit design.
• Develop AI/LLM-assisted flows for environment setup, guided simulation, corner/coverage planning, and schematic/layout checks.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to align tooling with project goals.
