Job summary

AT&T is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to lead design, automation, and operational support for enterprise database platforms across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. You will drive IaC, deployment automation, and platform engineering while collaborating with security, operations, and architecture teams.

The role requires deep infrastructure experience and strong software automation skills, with a focus on reliability, observability, and scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of systems, infrastructure, or cloud platform experience.
• Proficient with Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code development.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or similar tools.
• Deep knowledge of AWS services and enterprise database platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead IaC development and deployment automation initiatives.
• Design and maintain reusable deployment modules and patterns.
• Develop automated build, deployment, validation, and lifecycle workflows for cloud databases.
• Drive standardization of database deployment architectures and provisioning patterns.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across teams.
