Primary Duties & Responsibilities

The hiring range is $102,080-$127,600 annually. Must reside in Colorado at the time of hire.

Role Expectations

• Support and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and related database services, including upgrades, migrations, and performance improvements.
• Manage SQL Server Reporting Services, Integration Services, and SQL Agent Jobs.
• Ensure high availability and security of SQL Server environments.
• Assist with deployment and support of database products and services.
• Lead initiatives such as Business Intelligence, Data Lakes, and Data Warehouses as resources allow.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator for Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher.
• 2 years of Windows Server administration experience.

Knowledge & Certifications

• Proficiency with Windows Server and Desktop environments.
• Advanced SQL Server administration and tuning skills.
• Experience supporting cloud and virtualized environments.
• ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
• Knowledge of migrating SQL to cloud platforms is a plus.
• Familiarity with SSRS or reporting tools.
• Valid Colorado Driver's License; MS SQL Server certification preferred.

Working Conditions

Physical Demands

• Light physical work, lifting up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting of 25 pounds.
• Regular movement of computer equipment.
• Moderate walking and standing.
• Ability to interpret reports and operate computers.
• Frequent communication with managers, employees, and citizens.

Work Environment

• Primarily in a clean, comfortable office setting.
• Some support may require outside work or working around emergency response vehicles.
• Position generally remote, but must be available to come to the office in Colorado as needed.
