Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC seeks a Principal Data Scientist to define the science strategy for AWS product growth analytics across EC2, GenAI, Database & Analytics, and S3. You will partner with GMs and VPs to translate complex business challenges into innovative ML solutions that influence AWS revenue and product roadmaps.

You will lead cross‑functional analytics, guide experimentation, and mentor teams while maintaining rigorous scientific standards and executive communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or related quantitative field.
• Experience with data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communicating insights.

Responsibilities

• Define multi‑year science vision and data science roadmap for AWS product growth analytics across services.
• Influence senior leaders by building mental models on AWS growth and risks.
• Translate business objectives into high‑impact scientific decisions for product and revenue growth.
• Mentor junior scientists and maintain high technical quality through reviews.
