Walmart is seeking a Principal Data Scientist in Market Intelligence to shape competitive strategy, uncover growth opportunities, and translate data into enterprise decisions. You will lead scalable AI data products with executive exposure and mentor the team in a fast‑moving retail context.

The role partners with strategy, analytics, and AI teams to drive performance insights, measure competition, and influence leadership decisions across Walmart’s expansive portfolio.

Formación

• Masters in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or related field with 4+ years of post‑graduate experience or PhD with 2+ years.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL for analytics and data engineering.
• Solid data engineering foundation: modular code, pipelines, performance optimization.
• Hands‑on experience building AI/LLM‑powered agents for automation with guardrails and human‑in‑the‑loop review.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for competitive benchmarking.
• Research and implement advanced statistical models and ML algorithms on structured and unstructured data.
• Build scalable AI/LLM‑powered data products delivering impact for business partners at scale.
• Communicate findings to technical and non‑technical stakeholders with clear reports and visuals.
• Guide and mentor junior data scientists on projects and best practices.
