Job summary

Invesco, a leading global investment firm, seeks a Principal Data Scientist in Atlanta to design, build, and validate agentic AI systems solving complex financial challenges. You will create multi‑agent workflows using Copilot Studio, LangGraph, Cortex, and AgentCore to drive production‑ready AI initiatives.

This hands‑on leadership role partners with software engineers and investment professionals to scale AI across the technology organization, turning notebook experiments into microservices

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of data science or ML with emphasis on NLP and Generative AI.
• Strong Python and cloud-native development; Docker, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Exposure to LangGraph, LangChain, Copilot Studio, or AgentCore with Strands.
• Familiarity with creating evaluation metrics and building datasets for model validation and testing.
• Proactive use of AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate technical tasks and explore new libraries.
• Interest in the intersection of data engineering and full-stack development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and investment professionals to build AI-based tools.
• Design and implement complex reasoning loops using LangGraph, LangChain, or AgentCore.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and gold‑standard datasets to measure accuracy.
• Scale AI initiatives by creating reusable patterns, prompts, and subagents.
• Collaborate with full‑stack engineers to integrate AI models into business workflows.
• Implement systematic testing to meet high compliance and reliability standards.
• Apply prompt engineering, fine‑tuning, and multi‑agent techniques to business challenges.
