Job summary

Invesco seeks a Principal Data Scientist in Atlanta to design, build, and validate agentic AI systems for complex financial challenges. You will lead multi‑agent workflows, develop evaluation frameworks, and scale AI initiatives across technology teams, collaborating with engineers and investment professionals to deliver production-ready AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of data science or ML experience with NLP and Generative AI focus.
• Strong Python and cloud-native development skills; familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Experience creating evaluation metrics and building datasets for model validation and testing.
• Interest in LangGraph/LangChain and agent-based systems; proactive use of AI tools to speed tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead and collaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and investment professionals to build AI-based tools using diverse data sources.
• Design and implement complex reasoning loops using LangGraph, LangChain, or AgentCore to create dynamic agents.
• Develop robust evaluation frameworks and gold-standard datasets to measure model performance and faithfulness.
• Scale AI initiatives across Invesco Technology with reusable patterns, templates, and subagents.
