Job summary

Invesco is seeking a Principal Data Scientist in Atlanta to design, build, and validate agentic AI systems that tackle complex financial challenges. You will work with tools like LangGraph, LangChain, Copilot Studio, and AgentCore to create multi-agent workflows and production-ready solutions.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, building and testing AI models, and collaborating with investment professionals and engineers to scale AI initiatives across Invesco Technology.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in data science or ML focusing on NLP and Generative AI.
• Proficient Python and cloud-native development; comfortable with Docker, CI/CD, and DevSecOps.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, Copilot Studio, or AgentCore with Strands.
• Experience creating evaluation metrics and datasets for model validation.
• Proactive use of AI tools to accelerate tasks and explore libraries.
• Interest in at the intersection of data engineering and full-stack development.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI-based tool development with software engineers, data engineers, and investment professionals.
• Design multi-agent reasoning loops using LangGraph, LangChain, or AgentCore.
• Develop evaluation frameworks and gold-standard datasets for model quality.
• Scale AI initiatives across Invesco Technology with reusable patterns and templates.
• Collaborate to integrate AI models into business workflows and move experiments to production.
• Implement systematic testing (RAG, stress tests) to meet finance industry standards.
• Apply emerging techniques in prompt engineering and multi-agent systems.
