The Principal Data Processing Control Clerk (PDPCC) delivers school business office services to school districts and has an extensive knowledge of school district office functions, as well as relevant software applications. The PDPCC acts as a liaison between school district staff and the Erie 1 BOCES CBO to cultivate and nurture productive working relationships.
Serves as the designated backup to the primary administrator for the School & Municipal Energy Cooperative (SMEC), providing administrative, financial, and operational support as needed to ensure continuity of services and operations. Responsibilities may include assuming designated duties during absences or periods of increased workload and maintaining sufficient knowledge of SMEC processes and procedures to provide effective backup coverage.

There is no civil service examination required for this position for the duration of the NY HELPS Program. Candidates must meet the minimum civil service qualifications for a NYHELPS appointment as follows:
A) Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered two (2) year college or university with an Associate's degree in Data Processing or Computer Science and three (3) years of office clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which included supervisory data processing computer operations; or:
B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and five (5) years of office clerical experience, at least one (1) year of which included supervising data processing/computer operations; or:
C) An equivalent combination of training or experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).
