Job summary

The Walt Disney Company seeks a Principal Product Manager to lead strategy, roadmaps, and execution for Platform Stewardship and Governed Data across our Data Platform Governance program. You will align with executive stakeholders to define metrics, metadata standards, and lifecycle governance used by Looker, Tableau, and AI workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 10+ years in enterprise software development and 6+ years as a product manager.
• Experience with data governance, metadata management, data catalogs, and lifecycle governance including AI provenance.
• Proven ability to govern business metrics across complex data architectures and analytics platforms.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary product lead for Platform Stewardship and Governed Data, presenting strategy in senior forums.
• Define and lead roadmap for platform stewardship, metadata management, and lifecycle governance.
• Establish platform-agnostic, steward-owned metric definitions across BI tools and AI workflows.
• Drive semantic layer standardization and automated metadata across Snowflake and Databricks.
• Own end-to-end lifecycle from problem definition to launch and adoption.
• Collaborate with engineering to automate metadata coverage and governance monitoring.
• Champion governed semantics across ingestion, retention, lineage, and AI provenance.
• Align senior stakeholders on strategy and roadmap.
• Prioritize engineering capacity through intake tied to business outcomes.
• Define and track KPIs for metadata coverage, semantic accuracy, and catalog adoption.
