Realtor.com is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to lead the data platform strategy and ownership of end-to-end architecture. You will drive enterprise-grade data models and scalable architectures, balancing governance, security, and performance across squads.

You will mentor engineers, influence business-aligned roadmaps, and design cost-efficient data solutions that scale with growth, while maintaining a hands-on technical leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.
• 12+ years of architectural and design experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, data structures, algorithms, and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical leader across multiple squads, driving a roadmap that aligns Data strategy with business needs.
• Mature our data pipeline tooling to exceed expectations of technical and business partners.
• Design advanced data architectures and scalable infrastructure for enterprise use.
• Mentor engineers and cultivate continuous improvement within the Data community.
• Promote data governance, security, and cost-efficient data management.
