Job summary

Cotality is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer to design and optimize enterprise data pipelines, leveraging Kafka and Elasticsearch, while embedding AI-driven capabilities into core data products. You will lead high-impact initiatives and mentor engineers across teams.

You will drive modern engineering practices, build scalable APIs, and translate complex business requirements into technical solutions that power a global real estate ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering and enterprise data architecture experience.
• Production-scale API development and low-latency systems experience.
• Expertise with SQLServer, Apache Kafka and Elasticsearch in large data pipelines.
• Experience embedding AI/ML capabilities and AI SDLC practices.

Responsibilities

• Architect intelligent data pipelines for enterprise ETL, ingesting and transforming massive global real estate data.
• Drive AI & innovation by integrating ML models and AI-driven capabilities into data products.
• Build high-performance, scalable software applications and standardized pipelines for the real estate ecosystem.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, establish code review practices, and drive modern engineering standards.
• Lead complex projects as a technical lead, breaking down work into actionable tasks.
• Bridge business needs to technical requirements to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.
