Job summary

Google Global Fleet-OneSource is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to lead the architectural vision for data engineering enabling large-scale AI/ML workloads. You will drive end-to-end design across data lake, semantics, and ontology, partnering with AI2 and Google Global Infrastructure to deliver scalable capacity planning for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 15 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience creating a shared vision, coupled with clear communication and a leadership approach.
• Master's degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, a field related in Data Engineering, or Data Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead the solution architecture for information engineering including data lake, semantics and ontology for large capacity planning.
• Leverage deep technical knowledge across backend, frontend and data engineering.
• Partner across AI2 and GGI to define system data flows and interfaces for supply-demand matching.
• Guide the engineering team to redesign workflows and uplift delivery speed for future-scale needs.
