Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Principal Data Engineer for AgentExchange to lead data architecture, scale enterprise pipelines, and build feature stores for AI-powered product analytics.

You will partner with decision scientists, software engineers, and product leaders to design reliable, real-time data platforms, ensure governance, and drive architectural evolution that supports autonomous AI agents at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on data engineering experience building complex, enterprise-scale data platforms.
• Expertise in modern distributed computing, data lakehouse architectures, and cloud data warehouses.
• Deep experience engineering data systems for LLMs, agentic workflows, feature stores, or vector retrieval pipelines.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java with strong SQL tuning and CI/CD practices.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical impact).
• Strong communication to translate complex architecture decisions into business trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and scale foundational data platforms, lakehouses, and high-throughput pipelines for AgentExchange analytics and AI workflows.
• Design and deploy production-grade data pipelines, feature stores, and event-driven architectures for autonomous AI agents at enterprise scale.
• Establish data governance, quality frameworks, lineage, and monitoring for zero-downtime data assets.
• Serve as principal technical authority on data architecture, partnering with scientists, engineers, and product managers.
• Co-own long-term data tech roadmap for AgentExchange to anticipate scale bottlenecks.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering rigor across Cloud Analytics.
