Job summary

PacBio is seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Engineer to own security architecture across network, storage, HPC, and cloud environments. You will design controls, harden systems, and lead ISO 27001 certification efforts, with governance of SOX ITGCs and risk-based audits.

This senior individual contributor reports to the Head of Information Technology and collaborates with IT, R&D, software, operations, and finance to translate requirements into practical, verifiable controls.

Qualifications

• Extensive security architecture and ISO 27001 program experience.
• Hands-on risk assessment and SOX ITGCs across enterprise systems.
• Deep knowledge of network security, cloud/hpc security, and IAM.
• Experience with EDR and SIEM platforms and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Own security architecture and multi-year engineering roadmap across enterprise, HPC, and cloud.
• Lead ISO 27001 program, risk assessments, controls evidence, and audits.
• Own SOX ITGCs including access, change control, and logging.
• Secure networks, data storage, and connected instruments across environments.
• Automate controls and evidence collection with code tooling.
