Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 2 or 3) in Rancho Bernardo, CA, to join an IPT and support cybersecurity across development and sustainment activities. This role requires a Top Secret clearance and onsite work with up to 25% travel.

The successful candidate will identify cybersecurity risks, coordinate remediation plans, and collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and program teams to enhance system security throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of science in a STEM discipline with 2 years of related engineering experience, or Master’s in STEM.
• For Principal: BS with 5 years, or MS with 3 years, or PhD with 1 year relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify cybersecurity risks and support design, development, integration, test, and verification of system security solutions.
• Develop remediation plans with stakeholders and incorporate cybersecurity improvements.
• Engage customers and internal teams to improve the system’s cybersecurity posture.
• Support vulnerability management activities, including review, analysis, prioritization, and disposition of findings.
• Support cybersecurity scanning and assessment using approved tools.
• Develop and maintain cybersecurity evidence and compliance packages.
• Coordinate with systems engineering and program stakeholders across the lifecycle.
• Prepare and present cybersecurity and systems engineering materials for reviews.
