Who We're Looking For
This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, testing, and supporting security implementations. These implementations must adhere to high-quality standards with minimal defects. The role also involves mentoring team members and supporting management.
Some of What You'll Do
Scope of the Role:
Direct Reports: This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
Key Responsibilities
Design and document security applications.
Investigate and analyze requests for application security, interpreting requirements to develop complex applications.
Write technical documentation for routines and applications.
Construct, test, install, and maintain security applications.
Develop maintainable, user-friendly security controls satisfying implementation requirements.
Create and execute security test plans, analyze results, and revise applications accordingly.
Plan acceptance testing and assist with the implementation of new security frameworks.
Support internal users and support staff.
Lead investigations of application incidents and assess resolution strategies.
Apply resolutions to ensure error-free revisions.
Manage configuration tasks.
Collaborate with vendor partners and provide work direction when needed.
Support management in achieving team goals within the operational framework.
Experience, Education, and Certifications:
8+ years of Cyber Security Engineering experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or related field.
Certifications such as CompTIA Sec+, Net+, CISSP, CISA, CFE, or GIAC.
Strong platform knowledge (Tandem, UNIX, Windows, Network devices, Mainframes, SQL, Radius).
Database knowledge (Access, Oracle, MySQL).

Basic knowledge of security frameworks, operating systems, and communication interfaces.

Understanding of log aggregation and event correlation.
Experience in the telecommunications industry is preferred.
